“Hi crafty friends
I’m Julie Wickens, I am delighted to be guest designer for Ella Bonella & I’m super excited to showcase their products over the next month. I’ve always been artzy, not that studying art made my parents happy way back then! I have been an artist & a card maker for as long as I can remember then 4 years ago my daughter Katie introduced me to the scrap booking world! I have never looked back!! Following an accident in 2013 which resulted in mobility problems, I needed an outlet for my creativity before the boredom drove me insane (after having a long career as an Administration Manager/ Retail manager & Business Co-ordinations Manager).
I started Inspired by Memories Face book group as I felt that the UK lacked so much in the scrapbook world especially inspiration & supplies so I tackled the inspiration and Helen (another Helen!) tackled the supplies. I wanted & still want to inspire others to present their memories in a beautiful way. The group just grew & grew, quickly moving into online crops, competitions & all round scrapping fun. I am a traditional scrapbooker, although what is traditional? I just do what I do but love mixed media too!
I’m 54, married to Darren with 4 children, 2 at home & 2 all grown up with families of their own. I now have 2 gorgeous grandsons with another on the way. What better way to show them their childhood years & their roots than scrapbook albums (& embarrass them in front of their friends lol)! Stay tuned too see the pages I create over the coming weeks & I hope that I am able to inspire your next creation xx”
